  1. Mars seems like a great place for biocrusts to live, certainly in the past and maybe even now. I found your earlier linked article on Edicaran fauna really interesting, thanks for posting.

    1. Thanks David, good to hear from you. Yes, I especially like the line of thinking that Earth life originated on ancient Mars, which was more hospitable than ancient Earth. Probably impossible to demonstrate, but a cool idea anyway. It could explain some peculiar patterns about nutrient requirements.
